The teenage years are often when most people have the most acne breakouts, although acne may strike people of all ages.



Now that you are past the teenage years, you would think acne would be long gone. Unfortunately this isn't always the case. Blackheads and whiteheads can follow you into your 20's, 30, 40's, etc. All too often, people will never truly know what is causing a person's acne breakouts. Eating a healthy diet, with plenty of fruits and vegetables will help clear up your skin. Do not accept acne, fight back. The following are some cheap home remedies for curing acne.

There are many home remedies for acne and one of the most effective is aloe vera! Aloe vera is commonly used on burns but did you know you can also use aloe vera on your acne. Aloe will speed up healing and reduce the risk of developing scars. Aloe vera will reduce swelling, soften the skin, prevent future outbreaks, and reduce redness. Another form of aloe vera which you may find in stores is aloe vera juice. This juice is good for your body and your skin. In stores, you can also find aloe vera soaps, lotions, and creams. Growing aloe vera is quite easy and very convenient to have around. With your own plant or plants, you will be able to extract fresh gel from your plant to use on your blemishes. Besides treating acne aloe has many more uses such as - treating sunburns, cold sores, rashes, insect bites, and aloe can even be used as a hair gel!

It's possible to prevent acne blemishes and heal the blemishes you have by taking vitamins and minerals. If you have skin problems then it is recommended you take both Vitamin A and Zinc. Inflammation will be reduced and they will help prevent scars from developing. Fish oil, or Omega-3, is another supplement, which will help your skin. Fish oil contains many antibacterial properties. You can find fish oil capsules at your local pharmacy or health food store. This home remedy for acne will improve your digestion of foods and your skin. Taking probiotics and acidophilus supplements will allow your body to digest the foods you eat in a more efficient manner. Prevent acne from developing and cure the acne breakouts you currently!

Getting rid of acne takes time. There are plenty of home remedies which will work wonders on your skin. If you are tempted to try more than one remedy at time, you may want to rethink that strategy. When treating acne, you should always take a scientific approach and use just one remedy at a time. This way you will know which home remedies work and which home remedies do not work. Be sure to use common sense, you can still conduct a scientific approach to treating acne while eating fresh fruits and vegetables, drinking lots of water, and getting daily exercise. If you are trying 11 different products, creams, lotions, etc., to treat your acne, you won't be able to tell which products are getting rid of acne.

As challenging as it may be to get rid of embarrassing acne, hopefully one of the home remedies for acne outlined here will help with the problem. When getting rid of acne, you may not find something that works for you right away. Keep looking and do not give up. You will have to test and try several different treatments for acne until you find what works for your skin type.
