Make sure that you get your medications filled before you go so that you are not worried about if you run out when you are away. If you are doing some long distance traveling, you must be sure that you give yourself plenty of time. Therefore, one might try breaking their trip up as we have found this to be beneficial.

You might consider renting or buying a motorized wheelchair or one of the available used mobility scooters. Others of you might own your own wheelchairs where you should have them checked before you use them and make sure that you have a way to get around when you have one of these as there are vans that can meet you at the airport.

When you are traveling and if you feel as though you will need assistance, there is nothing wrong with informing people of your disability. The more you tell; the more help you are able to get. When you tell people, they are able to help you along the way with whatever you might need help with.

The other thing to think about is that while you know the things that hurt you or what could help you there is another person that can shed some light on things you need to be aware of and do when traveling with a disability.
