Give Your Body And Soul A Spring Clean

Spring time means that it's time for a spring cleaning. But who should be thinking about having a thorough detox and how should they go about doing it?

The simple answer is every-one and the best way to do it doesn't involve expensive treatments from department stores, boutique dispensaries and yoga spa holidays.

Spring has been with us a little while now and the winter has left every-one feeling a little bit heavy and a little bit lethargic. That could be because of an unhealthy diet, over snacking on chocolate and sweets over Easter or a combination of both plus lethargy and lack of motivation.

Our community is becoming more and more reliant on processed foods however it's important to our health that we try to keep those foods to a minimum and eat a better, well balanced diet instead. A good, yet daunting way to start a long term detox regime, rather than just making a token gesture at the concept, would be to cut down on the amount of white bread, meat and poultry, cigarettes and alcohol you consume. Tea and coffee are also products you should be cutting out of your diet, as is a great deal of the dairy you probably eat already.

I know! Given those choices you'd rather stay as you are than give up everything that makes life rewarding but let's not get ahead of ourselves, you don't HAVE to give ALL of them up, giving up one or two things and cutting down a little on the rest or cutting back quite a lot on all of them will improve how you feel and how you look. If you want to give your new, healthier lifestyle a kick start you can embark on detox holidays where you'll be subject to a programme of regimes which you will be able to bring home and apply to your life back home. If you are intending to get away for your summer vacation why not think about Thailand spa holidays?
